Born and bred in Tasmania, OCON Built founder and Director Nathan Owen is an accomplished builder with over twenty years’ experience in the industry. He is well known for his extensive knowledge of construction, along with his honest and friendly approach to project management.
Nathan launched OCON Built in 2015 and is proud of the way the business has evolved. He is committed to always delivering the greatest outcomes for his clients and believes that the best builds incorporate high quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship to maximise a home’s performance capabilities.
Nathan’s vision is for OCON Built to become the leading provider of healthy homes in Tasmania. As a Certified Passive House Tradesperson, his focus is to provide high quality, innovative and functional building solutions with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.

Nathan is actively involved in all of OCON’s projects, at all levels. He regularly visits the teams on site to assist, advise and ensure that the OCON quality control standards are consistently being met. He favours a collaborative, hands on approach and brings not only his knowledge and experience to the table but also his ability to work with his team to problem solve and provide solutions.

Nathan values a holistic approach to building and has developed systems that provide ongoing support to clients throughout the duration of their project. Through fortnightly site meetings, 24/7 online access via a personalised client portal and open lines of communication, OCON prioritise being responsive to client needs. With highly personalised services and transparent processes, the OCON team are passionately driven to bring dreams to life.

Nathan is not only a committed tradesperson and leader for the OCON team, but he is also a loving husband and hands on Dad to four fantastic kids. He enjoys spending time at the beach, family camping holidays exploring Tasmania, and playing the guitar.
He knows very well the importance of making a house a home and is passionately driven to ensure that OCON delivers projects that align with the unique needs of every client.
